The Story of Horseshoe Bend

Founded in 1962, Horseshoe Bend sits mostly in Izard County with a small portion in Fulton County.  The name comes from the curve in  the Strawberry River that wraps around the bluffs in a horseshoe shape.  Horseshoe Bend is approximately 150 miles from Little Rock, approximately 160 miles northwest of Memphis, TN. and approximately 22 miles from Cherokee Village.

In Horseshoe Bend you will find something for everyone regardless of the season. Horseshoe Bend is located in the Heart of the Ozark Mountain Foothills. Its location provides ample recreational opportunities and the continual improvements in the state's highway system make Horseshoe Bend an excellent place to grow a business.

"Strong Women" started at Turkey Mountain Clubhouse in October 2007 at 10 am upstairs. ()  Rose McKenzie Director
A 12 week low impact weighs to build strong bones other than walking or swimming some cannot do.
  Studies have shown that in 12 weeks you will be stronger and rebuild new bone tissues. It is free.
